BREAKING: Many burned to Dead as Fuel Tanker Explodes in Ondo

A tanker has exploded in Ore, Odigbo Local Council, Ondo State, with many people feared dead.
TrackNews Media reports that the explosion occurred on Sunday evening while some residents of the area were scooping fuel from an overturned truck.
It is believed that the explosion was caused by a spark from a phone held by one of the people scooping petrol spilt from a tanker.
Sources say that a pregnant woman and three children were among the dead. The number of casualties is still unknown, with other sources hinting at 16 deaths.
Ezekiel SonAllah, the FRSC sector commander, confirmed the incident and promised to provide details later.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness who identified himself as Cyriacus said many persons rushed to scoop fuel from the tanker despite being warned by the pastor in the church.
He said, “We were inside the church when we heard that tanker fell.
” The rain was also falling. People were taking fuel when fire started after a spark from a phone.
“Three children died, and we have counted over 15 bodies. A pregnant woman that wanted to buy the fuel also died. The money is still with her.”
