Breaking News: Police in Abuja respond to reports of a new bandit attack.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
According to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, no shots were fired on Tuesday in Dantata bridge in Lugbe and Minister’s hills in Maitama, Abuja.
According to Track News, the police have asked people to disregard reports of sporadic shootings by bandits.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), “the news is on every scale unfounded and should be disregarded.”
Meanwhile, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Babaji Sunday, urged calm, noting that a “investigation into the sources of this and many other maliciously crafted write-ups aimed at promoting panic and apprehension in the FCT has commenced.”
“While the Police continue their quest to reduce crime and criminality to the bare minimum in the Territory,” the statement continued, “Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious or abnormal occurrence to the police.”
