..OBOREVWORI, OCHOR ARE MEN OF HONOUR, DIGNITY AND TRUSTWORTHY – OGHENESIVBE.
TRACKING >>member of the United States of America based International Communication Association (ICA), Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has described the elected speaker of Delta State 7th Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Hon Christopher Ochor as men of honour, trustworthy, honest; morally and intellectually sound to coordinate progressive legislative business in the state.
Oghenesivbe in a goodwill message to the speaker and his deputy said Delans were not surprised that Rt Hon Oborevwori was re-elected on Monday 10th June,2019, to pilot the affairs of the Assembly, pointing out that his enviable performance as speaker during the life span of the 6th Assembly facilitated good governance and accelerated development across the 25 local government areas.
He noted that Oborevwori was able to restore credible leadership and mobilized his colleagues in the house for effective and efficient business of law making; and at the same time paid all inherited arrears and opened a new chapter of superb welfare packages for staff of the Assembly.
Oghenesivbe, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) further asserted that Oborevwori exhibited and still exhibit uncommon level of humility, utilized modern public administration techniques of open door policy, transparency, all inclusiveness and strength of positive character to efficiently and prudently manage the affairs of the legislative arm of government during the 6th Assembly.
In the same vein, he describes the new deputy speaker, Hon Christopher Ochor, as a kind hearted and trustworthy administrator who served meritoriously during his tenure as Executive Director, Social Services Development at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), before he was elected as member representing Ukwani Constituency at the 2019 general elections under PDP, and have been a loyal party man without blemish.
“It is heartwarming to hear that Oborevwori and Ochor shall side by side coordinate the legislative arm of government in the 7th Assembly. Its a welcome development.
“Both men are unique in their calling and Deltans shall be the greatest beneficiaries of their wealth of experience because of the enviable track records of Mr Speaker and his deputy.
“Quality leadership is about strength of character; detribalised posture, abhors nepotism and sectionalism, embrace equity, tolerance, perseverance, teamwork and honesty; which both two key principal officers of the 7th Assembly possessed in sufficient dose and quantity.
“We see a sustained robust synergy between the three arms of government exercising their independent functions with needed speed and accuracy towards the building of a Stronger Delta State, during Gov Ifeanyi Okowa’s second tenure (2019-2023), for the socioeconomic wellbeing of the good people of Delta State,” Oghenesivbe assured.
