BREAKING: Nigerian Immigration gets new acting Comptroller General

The Nigerian immigration service now has a new Comptroller General after the former CG, Muhammadu Babandede announced his retirement on Friday.
Babandede, who was appointed the Comptroller General of the NIS on the 15th of May 2016, has officially retired after spending 36 years in service.
The Deputy Comptroller General in charge of Finance and Account, Idris Isah Jere, will be taking over in acting capacity pending an appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at a ceremony organized for his retirement, Babandede expressed happiness that he left the service better than he met it.
He added: “Keep the good things and drop the bad ones.”.
