BREAKING: President Tinubu hosts former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon [VIDEO]

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu welcomed General Yakubu Gowon, former Head of State, in an audience at the Presidential Villa in Abuja few minutes ago.

The details of the discussion or the purpose of the meeting were not immediately disclosed.

A video of President Tinubu welcoming General Gowon was shared on X by the special assistant on social media to President Tinubu, Dada Olusegun.

General Yakubu Gowon served as Nigeria’s Head of State from 1966 to 1975. His tenure included the challenging period of the Nigerian Civil War (1967-1970), and he is widely recognized for his efforts towards national unity and reconciliation after the conflict.
