Buhari returns to Abuja from Saudi Arabia

President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Abuja on Friday evening after a five-day outing in Saudi Arabia where he was involved in a couple of activities, including attending the Future Investment Initiative Institute Summit in Riyadh.

The President, who was accompanied to the event by some of his ministers and other top officials, also visited the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah, where he offered special prayers for the well-being of Nigeria and performed the lesser Hajj, also known as the Umrah, respectively.

On arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, President Buhari was received by his Chief of Staff, Professor Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello; the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, and the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi.

On the trip to Saudi Arabia, the President was accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo; Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada; and the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva.

Others on his entourage were the Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar; Managing Director of Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, Uche Orji; as well as the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.
