JUST IN: EFCC Didn’t Visit Or Raid Our Office – BUA Group Speaks

Bua group has clarified that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Thursday, did not raid its headquarters in Lagos.
The company made the clarification in a statement.
“BUA wishes to clarify that its premises were not visited by EFCC today, Thursday, January 4, 2024, neither was it raided, as has been alleged in some online publications and being shared via WhatsApp broadcasts,” the statement said.
EFCC had written to 52 companies directing them to supply documents supporting the allocation and utilisation of foreign currencies to them in the last 10 years, Politics Nigeria gathered.
The EFCC letter to the companies is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged preferential Forex allocations to individuals and organisations by the Godwin Emefiele-led Central Bank of Nigeria.
