CAF Confederation Cup: Nwagua makes group stage Best X1
Rivers United forward, Nyima Nwagua has been named in Africa Soccer Zone Best X1 of CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
Nwagua has been one of the key performers for the Nigerian champions in the competition this season.
The 28-year-old’s two goals against Diable Noirs of Congo on matchday five helped Rivers United seal a place in the quarter-finals.
His teammate, Paul Acquah, who has scored four goals in the competition this season, surprisingly missed out of the selection.
ASFAR, USM and Young Africans Sports Club have two players each, while Marumo Gallants, USM Algers and ASEC Mimosa have one player each from the list.
Rivers United will face Young Africans of Tanzania in the quater-finals this month
