CAN Congratulates Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr, Condemns Killings in Edo

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has congratulated Muslims across the country on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr. In a statement, the association emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and mutual respect among religious communities in Nigeria.
CAN acknowledged the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual reflection, self-discipline, and devotion, urging Muslims to carry forward the values of love, tolerance, and charity beyond the fasting period. The organization also called for continued interfaith harmony to promote national peace and development.
Meanwhile, CAN strongly condemned the recent killings in Edo State, describing them as senseless and unacceptable. The association called on security agencies to swiftly investigate the incidents and bring the perpetrators to justice. It also urged the government at all levels to intensify efforts in tackling insecurity across the country.
CAN reiterated its commitment to advocating for justice and peace, stressing that no society can thrive when innocent lives are lost to violence. The organization called on Nigerians to unite against all forms of insecurity and work together for a safer and more prosperous nation.
