Champions League: Paul Merson predicts five clubs to win trophy this season

Ahead of the continuation of this season’s UEFA Champions League in February, Paul Merson, an Arsenal legend, has named five clubs that could win the Europe top-flight tournament.
This season’s Champions League is in its round of 16 stages.
The Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie will commence on February 14 and 15, 21 and 22, while the second-leg fixtures will take place on March 7, 8, 14 and 15.
The teams in the last 16 are PSG, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Tottenham, Club Brugge, Benfica, Dortmund, Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Frankfurt, Napoli, Inter Milan, Porto, RB Leipzig and Manchester City.
Providing his prediction, Merson was quoted by Sportskeeda as saying: “The UEFA Champions League has produced an array of exceptional clashes so far this season, and we are set to witness its return next month.
“The competition has been difficult to predict this season, and I would not be surprised if we have more than a few upsets in the knock-out stages.
“I have got two teams that are playing each other in my top five – the team that wins that match has got an unbelievable chance. A lot of the favourites are playing against one another this season, and I am looking forward to it.”
Here are Merson’s top five clubs to win the Champions League this season:
1. Manchester City
2. Bayern Munich
3. Chelsea
4. Napoli
5. PSG
