CHAN 2023 Qualifier: Ghana floor Nigeria again in jollof derby

Adeleye Kunle Reports
Ghana outclassed perennial rivals Nigeria 2-0 in the first leg of their African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, TrackNews Nigeria reports
The first half ended goalless with the hosts having the better advantage.
Ghana were awarded a penalty two minutes after the break when captain Tope Olusesi handled the ball inside the box.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh coolly dispatched the ball beyond goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka.
The home team further piled pressure on the Nigeria defence and were rewarded for their persistence when Seidu Suaij fired home after he was teed up by David Abagna.
The reverse fixture will take place next week Saturday at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja
The overall winner is guaranteed a place at CHAN 2023 in Algeria
