A Nigerian Catholic priest has reacted to Atiku Abubakar’s decision to delete a tweet he made condemning the killing of Deborah Samuel.

Fr Kelvin Ugwu who is currently serving in Malawi said the action of Atiku Abubakar, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential aspirant towards the killing of Deborah Samuel, who was burnt alive in Sokoto State on Thursday has finally exposed who he (Atiku) really is.

Recall that Deborah, a 200-level student at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, was beaten to a pulp and burnt alive by male Muslim students for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammed via a WhatsApp platform.

Reacting to the incident, Atiku condemned the development via posts on his Twitter and Facebook pages.

After some Northerners stormed the comment section of the posts and threatened to withdraw their support for his presidential ambition, Atiku pulled down the content.

The former Vice President apologized to the Northerners via his Hausa page, saying the posts were made without his approval.

Reacting, Fr Kelvin, in a post on his official Facebook page, lamented how the presidential aspirant is being manipulated by the Northern folks.

He wrote, “I am happy God has once more exposed and revealed to us all who Atiku Abubakar is using this incident of the murder of Deborah. By the time you all vote him in 2023, don’t come back to ask God any questions.

“The system in Nigeria is so evil that to win election, you must dine and be in the good books of the North. This is why your best candidate will not even emerge in the primaries unless the North has something to benefit, or unless they want to use the person as their puppet”.
