Delta Governor Declares Lockdown as They Expect The Result of Three Potential Covid-19 Cases

TRACKING_____The Governor of Delta state Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has ordered that the state should be on lockdown for the next fourteen day starting from 1st April 2020, in view of the pandemic ravaging the world at this present time , and with the recent revelations of possible corona virus cases samples that are currently been taken to Edo state specialist hospital Irrua for the results .
The Governor in the state address told the people of Delta state that he knows that this would be inconvenient for the people of the state as their works and business would be effected by the lockdown , but the lives of delta state was more important and the best way to curb the corona virus is to avoid further contact with infected people.
He also sounded warnings to traders who might try to inflate the prices of food commodities due to pandemic , that they would punished According to the law , he also encouraged the people of delta to be law abiding and strictly abide with the social distancing for effective non transmission of the virus .
