Delta State APC Leader, High Chief. M. Johnny Retracts Statement Against NDDC Boss Dr. Sam Ugbuku
•••Declares Total Support For The Dr. Samuel Ugbuku Led NDDC Administration
Delta State APC leader, High chief Michael Johnny has retracted his earlier statement regarding the reintroduction of a Forensic audit in the activities of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC and Non extension of Dr. Sam Ogbuku’s tenure.
The Agadiwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom said after conducting a thorough investigation, he has determined that the current NDDC executives, under the leadership of Dr Sam Ogbuku, are the most effective board for the organization at this time. High Chief Michael Johnny noted that, He is now urging President Tinubu to approve the 2024 budget in order to allow the board to continue their good work.
Chief Michael Johnny, in a statement in Yenagoa noted that Projects scattered around the Niger Delta region have shown the reinvigorated capacity of the Commission under its Managing Director, Dr Samuel Ogbuku for developing the region peacefully without any rancor in a volatile region.
He maintained that the even distribution of Solar powered street lights and other tangible infrastructures across the Niger Delta, demonstrates Ogbuku’s deep insight and knowledge about the Niger Delta as a former rights activist who is bringing his wealth of experience and capacity into bear, describing him as an intellectual game changer whose collaborative approach to achieving regional development is the best course of action for any public office holder.
Chief MichaelJohnny, who applauded president Tinubu for appointing the board to pilot the affairs of the commission, said, Their appointment suggests to the Region that Mr. President understands the challenges and setbacks that has bedevilled the accelerated development of the region.
He expressed his conviction that with the coordinated and calculated steps of the present board, that within a four-year time frame, there will be massive improvement of lives in the Niger Delta region.
The Agadiwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, Delta state, Chief Michael Johnny however, called on all stakeholders to give massive support to the Ogbuku-led management team of the commission.
