Deputy Speaker of the Bayelsa State House Assembly Donates Palliatives to people of his Constituency
TRACKING_____The Deputy Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Ogbere on Saturday 23rd May, 2020 donated palliatives including bags of garri to people of Ekeremor Constituency 3 where he represents.
During the presentation of the items, an SA to the Deputy Speaker, Mr. Moses Akinfe disclosed that the donation was made in view of ameliorating the excruciating negative effects of the ongoing Interstates lock-down in the RURAL and URBAN communities from the coastal end, occasioned by the viral Coronavirus better known as COVID-19.
On his part, the Honorable Member said that the gesture is just his little way of encouraging and reaching out to his people in this trying time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. He assured the people that the challenges at hand is temporary and will soon pass away by the grace of God.
Consequently, stakeholders of the constituency made up of Ekeremor Ward 11 and Ward 12 took delivery of the heavy loads of garri bags and evenly distributed same to all the 23 riverine communities through the leadership of the Community Development Chairmen, thereby attracting flood of praises from the beneficiaries, as they pray for God’s continuous blessings, protection and success in his political career.
