Don’t Appoint Paperweight Politicians as Ministers – Abia APC Beg Tinubu

The Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised President Bola Tinubu against appointing paperweight politicians to serve as members of his cabinet.
Abia APC leadership advised Tinubu not to appoint party men and women who do not have requisite electoral values and followership into his cabinet.
The party urged the president to choose the state’s son or daughter with the needed capacity, ability and competence to assist the government in implementing its numerous agendas that will enable growth is major sectors.
The Abia state publicity secretary of the APC, Offor Okorie, made the party’s position known in a statement issued during the weekend.
According to him: “Anybody that President Bola Tinubu will give the minister representing Abia state should be a person who has electoral value and followership.
“The President should nominate an Abian loved by the masses and has the capacity to win elections for the All Progressives Congress,” he added.
