“Don’t Invite Me Again”, Gov. Ortom Berates Channels Tv Host, Seun

The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom berated Channels Tv host, Seun Okinbaloye while he was being interviewed on the tv station on Sunday, 3rd of June.
The tv host, Seun had cautioned governor Ortom over his claims on air, noting thus:”extreme thoughts are not for television like this”. In his reaction, governor Ortom accused Seun of restricting his freedom of expression.
However, Seun insisted that he was operating within the rules of his profession to stop his interviewees from making inflammatory statement while speaking.
Governor Ortom was then angry with Seun and reiterated that none of his claims is untrue or inflammatory as Seun alleged. He said the country has been overrun by insecurity. He said kidnappers are operating freely in the Federal capital territory, Abuja and might soon invade the government house.
“That is my problem with Channels Television. You always don’t want somebody to say the truth. If you don’t want me to appear on your program just tell me there is not need. I will always tell you the truth. Things are going down. Nigeria is going down the drain under your watch as a television network and you don’t want us to say the truth”, he said.
