Dozens of people killed as Boko Haram, ISWAP terrorists clash in Lake Chad

In the last three days, a bloody clash between Boko Haram fighters and the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) has reportedly killed scores of terrorists.
Track News has learned that a faction of the late Abubakar Shekau recently engaged ISWAP fighters in Lake Chad.
According to reports made available to journalists by a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst, Zagazola Makama, on December 3, a notorious Boko Haram leader, Ali Ngulde, led hundreds of fighters armed with weapons from the Mandara mountains to attack ISWAP.
The rivalry fight was said to have started in Yuwe’s camp, resulting in a heavy firefight, and Ngulde’s fighters overpowered the ISWAP elements, neutralizing about 12 of them and seizing their weapons.
According to the report, Boko Haram attacked not long after the encounter.
Fighters from Abu Ikilima’s camp were re-mobilized at Gaizuwa, Gabchari, Mantari, and Mallum Masari.
Zagazola stated that on December 4, the Shekau faction of Boko Haram split into two groups and raided ISWAP positions in Ukuba, Arra, and Sabil Huda, killing over 23 ISWAP fighters.
Also on Sunday night, an ISWAP reinforcement team was spotted around the axis of Kawuri and Aulari, where a top ISWAP leader, Ba’ana Chingori, reportedly led a column of fighters to attack a Boko Haram position in Farisu in the morning on Monday.
The infighting between the two terrorist factions has killed dozens of fighters, according to Track News.
