Dr. Ken Robinson: My Message On The Passing Of Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark
Former National Publicity Secretary of PANDEF, Dr. Ken Robinson has described the death of chief E.K Clark as colossal loss to the Ijaw Nation and Nigeria at large.
Eulogizing the sterling qualities of the late elder state man, Dr. Ken Robinson described Pa Clark as a father and role model to millions of Nigerians who used his lifestyle as a model to whether the challenges of the survival of the Ijaw Nation.
Dr. Ken Robinson wrote: “The passing of Chief Dr. Senator Edwin Kiagbodo Clark is a monumental loss for the Ijaw nation, the Niger Delta region, and the Nigerian state”.
For some of us, we have lost a great leader and beloved father. I had the privilege of working closely with Chief Edwin Clark for about ten years, and I can affirm without any equivocation that he was an exceptional man.
He was a man of truth, someone who expressed his views candidly on any subject without fear or favour. He championed the cause of the Niger Delta and served as an unmistakable voice for fairness, equity, and justice. His passing has created a significant void.
All we can say is that he came, he saw, and he conquered. He fulfilled his role admirably and left the stage at the remarkable age of 97″.
