Ebonyi guber: Labour Party adopts Umahi’s anointed candidate, APC’s Nwifuru

Ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial and state assembly elections, the Ebonyi State chapter of the Labour Party has endorsed the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Nwifuru is the anointed candidate of the incumbent governor, Dave Umahi who is expected to leave office in May 2023.
In a communique issued by the Ebonyi State Labour Party chairman, Godwin Jioke, the party explained that it does not have any candidate in the governorship race owing to “protracted legal tussles.”
The party called on its supporters and all Obidients across the state to come out en masse and vote for the APC candidate on Saturday.
It, however, noted that the decision does not in any way translate to collapsing of its structure into the ruling party
