Adeleke ‘to site varsity campus in Iwo’
Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Ademola Adeleke has vowed to site the communication campus of Osun State University in Iwo if elected as governor.
Adeleke, who spoke in Iwo during his campaign, also promised to repair major roads in Iwoland which will ease the movement of goods that will promote economic activities of the ancient town.
He bemoaned the neglect of Iwoland by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, going by the poor conditions of infrastructure around. Adeleke said Iwoland was too important to have been left out in development considerations by the APC government.
“By God’s grace, my government will prioritise the development of Iwoland because we understand the importance of doing so. I assure the people of Iwo that we will not pay lip service to their needs, and this will see us fixing major roads and end the undeserved pains that users go through.
“I promise to locate the College of Communication in the Osun State University in Iwo; this will improve options of students and also contribute to the economy of the ancient town.”
