Taraba Gov Slash State University Fees by 50%
To cushion the effect of subsidy removal, the Taraba governor, Agbu Kefas, has ordered the immediate reduction of fees at the state university by fifty percent.
Kefas who paid unscheduled visit to the state university to assess the state of the institution stated that subsidy removal by the federal government has made some students unable to pay their fees.
He discovered that a total of 53 courses offered in the institution are without accreditation, the hike in school fees and poor students hostel.
He also ordered a report on why some graduates of the institution we’re not mobilized for the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) or Law School when he met the management of the institution.
