EFCC busts 22 suspected internet fraudsters in Akwa Ibom

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters in Akwa Ibom State.
The young citizens were apprehended in a sting operation on Tuesday.
A statement by EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwujaren announced the operation.
The suspects, whose ages range between 18 to 24 years, were picked from hideouts in Uyo and Ikot Ekpene.
Uwujaren said their arrest followed verified intelligence regarding alleged nefarious activities.
A silver-coloured Toyota Corolla car, various brands of mobile phones and laptops were recovered.
The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded
