Ekiti 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill: Oyebanji signs N122.6bn into law

Governor Biodun Oyebanji has signed the N122,669,039,657.27 Ekiti State 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill into law.Governor Oyebanji, while signing the appropriation bill at the executive chamber in Ado-Ekiti, expressed delight in performing his first legislative function in the state.While speaking on the legislative crisis in the state house of assembly, he noted that the assembly in the state had the capacity to solve its internal crisis, pointing out that democracy allows for a crisis but the interest of the state must be placed above all interest.Oyebanji commended the elders and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their quick resolve to put the crisis behind them.He, however, pleaded with non-APC members to leave the party alone, saying the crisis has been resolved.He called on the lawmakers to see that before the end of the year, deliberations on the 2023 appropriate budget should be deliberated and ready for signing.Earlier, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olubunmi Adelugba, said: “It is indeed an epoch making event.
