Election result: Senator Echocho wins Kogi East senatorial seat
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Jibrin Echocho as the winner of the Kogi East Senatorial seat.
The INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Musa Ibrahim, announced the result in Idah, the headquarters of Kogi East Senatorial district.
Ibrahim said Echocho scored 108,784 votes, the highest against Victor Adoji of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 81,867.
Echocho is the incumbent senator for Kogi East Senatorial district in the National Assembly
