Lagos – Chief Emeka Charles Kalu, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and a former governorship candidate in Abia State, has commended Nigerian youths over the #EndSARS protests, advising them not to rest on their oars following the success recorded so far.

He maintained that by their action, the youths had sent a strong signal across to the government and political leaders on the need for positive change in the country, adding that things would never remain the same again in the country.

Kalu, the National Coordinator of People’s Democratic Party Coalition (PDPCO), maintained that through the protests, Nigerian leaders, who he termed as the purveyors of the people’s collective wealth, had been told in clear terms that it would no longer be business as usual in running of the nation’s affairs.

Describing the protests as a signal of an era of political awakening and profound awareness, he stressed that the message of the youths had reverberated all over the world and down to the very foundation of Africa.

He expressed optimism that the youths had demonstrated readiness to take their destiny in their hands by showing the world their organisational and leadership abilities, adding the recent protests were the most sophisticated in history, both in organisation, management, mobilisation and financing.
