Enugu: I will hold incoming govt accountable – AAC guber candidate, Ogbodo sends Easter message

The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the March 18 election in Enugu State, Ray Kene Ogbodo, has commended residents of the state for their resilience despite the harsh economic environment.
Ogbodo, who made the remark in his Easter message, urged the people not to despair as he would hold the incoming administration accountable.
This was contained in a statement issued by his Media aide, Mr Azubuike Akam, on Sunday.
The guber candidate urged the people to reflect and rejoice as Christ is risen, find time to relax, reinvigorate, reset and recharge for the rest of the year.
He said: “I encourage Ndi Enugu to remain hopeful in the face of the current economic realities in the land, caused mainly by bad governance, leadership failure, poor economic growth, and development.
“I sincerely appreciate the endurance and perseverance of Ndi Enugu over the years; poverty shouldn’t be an option.
“My main goal for contesting the governorship election was to lift many people out of abject poverty of the pocket, mind, body, and soul.
“My mission was to fully develop Enugu and to reposition the state on the part of growth while lifting many people out of abject poverty, from hopelessness to complete hopefulness.
“My plan was to develop Enugu by building structures to harness the comparative advantage that our state has over other sub national entities within Nigeria.
“My focus was to build a multi-facet economy, modern infrastructure in urban and rural areas, focus on developing the agricultural sector, diversifying the energy sector by investing in renewable energy, improving the transport system, delivering a cleaner environment that would forestall the effect of climate change, creating a welcoming environment that will make Enugu state the destination of choice for private investors.”
The AAC candidate had before the guber election, promised that his administration would pay N50,000 minimum wage to Enugu workers if elected as Enugu governor
