EPL: Follow my rules – Ten Hag slams Man Utd players after 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa

By Adeleye Kunle
Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has claimed his players did not follow the rules as they lost 3-1 to Aston Villa on Sunday.
The hosts raced into a two-goal lead within 10 minutes, thanks to Leon Bailey and Lucas Digne.
Although United pulled one back through Luke Shaw’s deflected effort, Jacob Ramsey scored again for Villa.
“The start of the first half and start of the second half,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports when asked where the game was decided.
“In between we could have come back. Second part of the first half was really good, and we get the goal back. But it’s not acceptable to concede a goal so quickly after half-time on the counter.”
Ten Hag was asked about knowing what formation Unai Emery will line his side up against.
He replied: “Our players are experienced, you have to get the right organisation and not concede goals.
“It was totally unnecessary. You have to stay together, compact, win your battles and stay on the ball, and all of that we didn’t do. It starts with following the rules. It is disappointing
