Erling Haaland, a forward for Manchester City, has called manager Pep Guardiola a “football crazy.”

Guardiola’s ‘complex’ tactical style thus far this season has also been praised by Haaland, who also noted how passionate the Spaniard is about the game.

The Norwegian, who joined Man City this summer from Borussia Dortmund, has fit in well with the team.

For the Premier League champions, Haaland has two hat-tricks and a total of 12 goals in just eight games.

Haaland told Telemundo Deportes, “I think he [Guardiola] is kind of a bit of a football freak like me.

“We both love football, and yes, he was a player before becoming a manager. Yes, he is passionate about the game, and this is something I enjoy because he considers how to improve everything in football.

“Settle-in has gone well so far. You can observe our objectives and style of play.

There isn’t much time, so I’ve been going into the team and trying to learn the tactics as quickly as I can. It’s a really complicated system.

“I have no time to waste on anything else. I have therefore been working to join the team as soon as possible. It’s a great system—very difficult to use, but great nonetheless, he remarked.
