EPL: Morrison gives verdict on Jesus, names four improved Arsenal players
By Adeleye Kunle
Former Premier League striker, Clinton Morrison, has given his verdict on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus’ recent goal drought.
Morrison also named the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Thomas Partey, Martin Odegaard and Granit Xhaka as the Arsenal players that have improved, as Jesus is yet to score a goal in his last eight games for the Gunners.
Speaking to Gillette Labs Soccer Saturday, Morrison said, “He does everything else. He’s been brilliant, At the moment, they can manage without him because other players are stepping up to the mark and scoring goals like Martinelli.
“They have got people like Odegaard and even Xhaka and Partey are scoring goals from midfield.”
He added, “I’m telling you now, he will be thinking about it. You can see he’s snatching at chances. Even against Forest, he probably could have come off with the match ball.
“But I wouldn’t worry about it, they are still winning football matches and he’s not scoring goals. He’s having a big effect on the game outside the box.”
Jesus will hope to score when Arsenal face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon
