EPL: Real Madrid coach, Ancelotti drags Everton to court

Real Madrid head coach, Carlo Ancelotti is suing Everton in London’s high court.
The Guardian reports that Ancelotti’s lawyers filed his claim against the Premier League club late on Friday, and it relates to ‘general commercial contracts and arrangements’.
At the time of writing, there are no more details about the claim though it is listed to be heard in the commercial court.
Ancelotti, a former Everton manager, was in charge at Goodison Park for 18 months between 2019 and 2021 before leaving to return to Real Madrid.
The Italian, his lawyers and Everton are yet to comment on the matter.
This claim will only add more pressure on Everton, who have been struggling with financial issues over the past few seasons amid the construction of their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
It has also had an effect on the Toffees’ performance on the pitch, with the club narrowly avoiding relegation from the Premier League in each of the last two seasons
