EPL: Souness tells Ten Hag two Manchester United stars he can’t rely on after Ronaldo’s exit

Former Liverpool captain, Graeme Souness has told Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag he cannot rely on Red Devils forwards, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Souness spoke ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League game with Wolves on New Year’s Eve.
He also said that Ten Hag could have handled the Cristiano Ronaldo saga ‘better’.
According to him, Ronaldo’s exit from Old Trafford leaves Man United short up front, and he has wished Ten Hag’ luck’ if he is going to rely on Martial and Rashford for the rest of the season.
“I still think the Cristiano Ronaldo situation could’ve been handled better, benefiting the player and manager. He scored eighteen league goals last season, and when I look at their squad now, I don’t see goals,” Souness told the Daily Mail.
“Marcus Rashford is their top scorer with five [goals], and he is playing well. But he had a sabbatical for two years.
“If he is the one you are relying on to get you goals, that feels like a wing and a prayer to me.
“And if [Erik] Ten Hag is also still relying on Anthony Martial to stand up and be counted, then good luck with that,” he added
