Europa League: You have to avoid that – Ten Hag reacts as Man Utd beat Omonia 3-2

By Adeleye Kunle
Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has warned his players to avoid poor starts in matches.
Ten Hag was speaking after their 3-2 win over Omonia Nikosia in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The hosts took a shock lead through Karim Ansarifard, before Marcus Rashford made it 1-1.
Rashford then set up Anthony Martial to give United the lead, before adding his second of the game.
Ten Hag said: “We started well, then an unnecessary mistake and a really bad 10 minutes. We have to learn from it. You let the crowd get alive, you have to avoid that.”
What he said at half-time: “More runs, we are too static, we have to make the opposition move to get behind – that is why we made two subs. The subs really had an impact today.
On Martial: “We have already seen in pre-season, it was really disappointing when he got injured, it had an impact on our team’s performance.
“It has to only be a warm up, on Sunday we have to react.”
