Even if you give Tinubu 30 years nothing will work – Atiku’s Camp Reacts

The camp of Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, has said President Bola Tinubu’s current administration might mirror the perceived shortcomings of its predecessor.
Daniel Bwala, a spokesman for Atiku in the 2023 general election, said Nigerians were urged to exercise patience during the early years of the Buhari administration, which ultimately yielded minimal progress.
Speaking on Channels TV, Bwala said that Tinubu has already spent 31.8 percent of his first term in office, yet tangible improvements seem elusive, contributing to the hardships faced by the citizens. He challenged the notion of patience, citing the need to evaluate the timeframe within which public officers are expected to fulfil their duties.
“The President has just been voted into a term of four years. He is eight months into the term, which constitutes 31.8 percent of the total time that he has,” remarked Bwala. Drawing parallels to President Buhari’s initial tenure, he underscored the urgency for concrete actions rather than relying on promises and rhetoric.
Bwala expressed scepticism about the efficacy of President Tinubu’s policies, referencing economists who criticised the budget as insufficient for delivering the promised agenda.
He said, “Nigerians are tired of English, Mathematics, Economics, Science, and Technology. We want to see practical things.” As the nation awaits developments, Bwala’s critique raises questions about the trajectory of Tinubu’s administration and its ability to address pressing issues effectively.
