“Expel Wike Immediately!” – Ned Nwoko warns PDP, explains why

Hon Ned Nwoko, a former House of Representatives member, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership to immediately expel Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike for alleged anti-party activities.

Wike’s feud with the Party over the outcome of the Party’s presidential primaries a few months ago is no longer news.

Speaking on the issue, the Delta State politician and Delta North senatorial candidate said he couldn’t stand by and watch Wike destroy the party.

“Wike is attempting to demolish a house that we all helped build.” Yes, he was not nominated as the PDP’s presidential candidate, and he was also unsuccessful in his bid to be the party’s vice presidential candidate, and we were all involved in the process. It was very clear; he spent a lot of money. I know because he outspent almost everyone else. He did outspend Atiku, but the battle had already been fought and won or lost.

“However, that is no reason to bring down his own party.” He’s gone too far with his vendetta. His current battle is selfish; it is for personal gain. It makes no difference how he tries to color it or what he calls it. The only question I have is, if Wike is chosen by Atiku and campaigns alongside Atiku as Atiku is doing now, will he be asking the national chairman to resign or go? Of course, he’ll be campaigning with Atiku and others, which indicates that his fight is self-centered, according to Nwoko.

“I am a stakeholder in PDP,” he continued. Before I returned to Nigeria in 1998, I was a member of the party; I am a stakeholder, and if someone wishes to destroy the country as we know it today, any Nigerian who sees himself as a Nigerian has an obligation to stop that destruction if there is a way he can prevent or discourage it, so every Nigerian is a stakeholder in this body called Nigeria; you don’t have to be a president, governor, or minister to be considered a minister;

“Every Nigerian is a stakeholder and has the right to stop this country’s destruction.” He should be kicked out. He has done enough damage; there is nothing more Wike can do; he has tried to use all manner of intimidation tactics just to grandstand; all he needs to do now is wait for the election and direct his people to vote for another party.”
