Known security expert Otunba Adejare Adegbenro criticized Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, for saying that security has reached its lowest point.

When giving a security update to media on Monday, the minister declared that “the worst is over.”

This is not the time to make false claims, according to Otunba Adegbenro, who spoke on the OGTV program New Dawn. Instead, he urged everyone to work for a secure Nigeria.

“Has the worst passed? Nigeria still has a number of security holes, in my opinion, that make it vulnerable to terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal forces. The greatest thing the minister can say, if he is being truthful, is that we are working on it. The appropriate response is that. Adegbenro said.

It bothers me that the Nigeria I saw as a child differs from the Nigeria I see today, he said. Wasn’t there an attack 24 hours prior to his blatant self-promotion when he claimed the worst was over? 32 people were kidnapped in Ondo State.

“Haven’t they attacked even after his statement?” For more than 200 million people, we have a security force of roughly 1.2 million, of which how many are deployed by the federal government, agencies, VIPs, and VVIPs? You’ll be surprised to learn that many of our security professionals are defending just a few when you subtract that.

“The Nigerian Army, Airforce, and Civil Defence have been making tremendous effort which we must commend but the Federal Government has to boost the morale of the security agencies with better welfare package. We are all Nigerians and our tribe comes second.”
