YENAGOA/ The mission of the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Federal Constituency, Prof. Steve Sinikiem Azaiki has received more boost at wards in Opokuma clan.

Prof. Azaiki, a man with sterling records of academic qualifications and public service, was received with ovation by political stakeholders and teeming supporters at Ward 7, Igbainwari and Ward 8, Opokuma in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area (KOLGA) of Bayelsa State. The visit which took the candidate to all the wards in KOLGA was at the instance of the Kolga Restoration Agenda (KORA), made up of staunch members of the PDP in the area. Overwhelmed by the warm reception accorded him, Prof. Azaiki who schooled in Government Secondary School, Kaima, and passed his WASC with Grade 1, assured the people in the various wards of effective representation when voted into the House of Representatives.

He stressed that he will not forget them when elected, and that he will launch youth and women empowerment schemes as well as press for restructuring of Nigeria’s political and administrative systems to allow for control and management of crude oil and gas resources.
Noting that restructuring is the test case for 2019 elections, Prof. Azaiki urged Kolga, the area Late Isaac Boro hailed from, the Ijaws, Niger Delta States and Nigerians to vote for PDP’s candidates including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar because he has shown enough commitment to restructuring Nigeria. He also called for more support to Governor Seriake Dickson’s administration, noting that the governor has similar passion with Late D. S. P Alamieyeseigha in terms of liberating the Ijaws and developing Bayelsa State.

In their speeches, speaker upon speaker poured encomiums on Prof. Azaiki as a resourceful and widely connected people-oriented leader who was most suitable to represent his constituency at the House of Representatives.
All the wards where he was invited and feted, declared total support to him, saying they will give him one hundred percent votes.
