Elections: Oyo Declares Feb 25, March 11 As Public Holiday For Schools
TRACKING>>Following the rescheduling of general elections to February 23 and March 9, Oyo State government has declared Monday, February 25 and Monday, March 11 as public holidays for public and private schools in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Ibironke Fatoki, in a statement issued in Ibadan on Monday, said all schools will proceed on break on Friday, February 22, and resume on Tuesday February 26.
The second break will be from Friday, March 8, and resume on Tuesday, March 12.
Meanwhile, an earlier directive by the state’s ministry of education to school heads last week stated that all schools in the state would resume on Tuesday, February 19.
