Flood Wrecked Road: Lawmaker Hails Diri For Prompt Response of Link Road To Constituency-ll of Kolokuma/Opokuma

The Member of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency-ll, Hon. Wisdom Fafi, have hailed Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State for the palliative work being done on the link road to Opokuma kingdom, Ayibabiri, Okoloba and Sabagreia communities of the constituency respectively in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area.

Recall that the Lawmaker among several others has in recent times visited the collapsed spot, raised alarms calling on government and relevant authorities to come to the aid of the People he represents, who are the primary users to fix the wrecked portion occasioned by the receded flood.

The Bayelsa State Ministry of Works headed by Surv. Moses Teibowei, has mobilised to site, after a directive from the Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State to embark on palliative measure, to ease the pains of residents and commuters.

In a statement made available in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State Capital, shortly after joining the Works Commissioner to the site Yesterday, the Lawmaker thanked the state governor, who he said has proved he shares in the pain of the People for the prompt response to alleviate the suffering of the People.

He however, appealed to youths of the area, particularly users to do all to support the work and government to put the about 50 metres length wrecked area to it’s normal state, for the People to go about their businesses, re-assuring the People the current government commitment when necessary to respond to the plights of the People.
