I’ll show more love — Husband of blue-eyed woman speaks after reuniting

TRACKING____The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has reunited the husband of the blue-eyed woman, Mr Abdulwasiu, to his wife Mrs Risikat.

Tracknews online recalls that Abdulwasiu had thrown his wife out of marriage for bearing children who also inherited the blue eyes from their mother.

According to medical experts, the woman and her children have an eye disorder called ”ocular albinism”.

Risikat’s story went viral on social media and attracted support from many Nigerians, including the wife of the Governor of Kwara State, Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, and celebrity photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa.

After several reactions on social media, Abdulwasiu pleaded for his wife’s return.

According to The Independent, the Ilorin monarch reunited the family through the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association.

The association, under the leadership of its president, Alhaji Abdullahi Salaudeen Babatunde, reportedly met with the couple’s family for reconciliation.

Salaudeen, along with his colleagues, had earlier met with the individuals involved in the matrimonial breakup for the reunion and reached a consensus to meet for amicable reconstruction at the husband’s family house.

After extensive pleading by some Islamic clerics, led by Alfa Muritala Ottan, Mrs Risikat agreed to move back to her matrimonial home.

While appreciating the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, Ilorin and the Ilorin Emirate Development Association for their effort on the reconciliation, Mr Abdulwasiu thanked everyone involved in the reconciliation process both within and outside Kwara State.

He promised to continue to show Mrs Risikat love as it was at the beginning.

Mrs Risikat also expressed her gratitude to the Emir of Ilorin, through Ilorin Emirate Youth Developmental Association, for his fatherly intervention and thanked media houses and everyone who had contributed to the successful reconciliation financially, morally and spiritually.
