TRACKING____ One of the luxury cars that used to decorate the garage of one of Africa’s most flamboyant pastors, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor is rusting away and gathering dust where it is abandoned inside the car park of Sheraton Hotel, Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way,Ikeja.

The luxury Mercedes Benz top of the range car is a 2012 model of the Maybach whose market value currently stands at about $370,000. According to sources at the hotel, the man of God who used to be very close to former President Goodluck Jonathan used to be a very regular guest at the hotel and it was not unusual to see some of his cars parked at their car parks for days.

Also regular around the car park whenever he is around are his drivers, police escorts and some personal details. This particular cream colored 20102 Maybach is however said to have been parked and abandoned since last year, leading to speculations that the car may have developed a major fault.

Those who are conversant with the movement of Papa Ayo as he is fondly called by his followers also disclosed that the Maybach was one of his favorite cars when it was in good condition, as the car is in the class of such premium, luxury cars like the Rolls Royce and Bentley.

Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, like many other Pentecostal pastors in Nigeria loves the good life and owns some of the most sought after luxury acquisitions you can think of. He owns a private jet which was seized in South Africa in 2014 for carrying $10million cash. The said jet was later released on the intervention of the Nigerian government.

Quite a lot of controversies was generated following the discovery that the private jet belonged to Papa Ayo, especially as it later became public knowledge that the money caught in the plabe was part of the money meant to be used in acquiring ammunitions for the Nigeria military in the heat of the war with the insurgency group, Boko Haram but was rather being diverted for another purpose entirely.

That same private jet has since 2018 been grounded at the hangar of airport due to cost of maintenance.
