Federal Capital Territory High Court Grants Godwin Emefiele Permission to Travel Outside Abuja

In a recent development, the Federal Capital Territory High Court has approved the request of Godwin Emefiele, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, to travel outside of Abuja.
However, the court has imposed the condition that Emefiele must remain within the country during his travels.

Initially, as part of his bail terms, Emefiele was restricted to the Federal Capital Territory. The recent variation in the terms, following the request made by his lawyer, Mathew Bukka, provides some leeway for Emefiele’s travel plans.
