Finally, APC reveals Tinubu’s real age

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling party for the 2023 election, is neither 79 years old nor 83.
TrackNews Media gathered that in an audio shared by Bayo Onanuga, one of the media aides of the former Lagos State governor, via his known Facebook page on Tuesday, the APC insisted that Tinubu is 70 years old.
Controversy had trailed the age and identity of the APC candidate.
In 2021, Wikipedia locked the page of Tinubu over what it described as “persistent vandalism” because a number of accounts edited his age multiple times.
At the time, 1942 was said to be Tinubu’s birth year but that now reflects as 1952.
The narrator in the newly-released audio said: “They say Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is old. ‘He’s aged 83 or 79 years old’. All that is fake news.
“Tinubu was born in Lagos on the 29th of March, 1952. He was 70 in the year 2022. He would be 71 this year. He was 47 years old when he became the Lagos State governor in 1999, and he clocked 60 in 2012, and 70 in 2022. But mischief-makers have always put his age above what he said it is.”
