Fire guts private residence of Wike in Abuja
The private residence of the Minister of State in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, was engulfed by fire on Sunday afternoon.
The property, located on No. 9, Justice Roseline Ukeji Close, in the upscale Asokoro area of Abuja, was reportedly razed completely by the inferno.

Despite efforts to respond to the emergency, including the arrival of fire service personnel, nothing could be salvaged from the property.
Mr. Austin Elemue, the Special Adviser on Media to the Minister, confirmed the incident, stating that the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
He stated that relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to determine the cause of the fire.
