Fishermen In Bayelsa Catch Huge Dolphin (Photos)
Fishermen in Bayelsa have caught a huge dolphin in their community in Sangana area of Akassa in Brass Local Government of Bayelsa State.
Tracknews understands that the fish was caught on Monday, February 21.
However, in an act of kindness to preserve the rare species, the fishermen decided to put the fish back into the water.
Unfortunately, the animal died before they could succeed in returning it back to the sea.
This is not the first time such rare animals are spotted in Nigeria.
Some weeks back a Facebook user identified as Adesope Habeeb revealed that a group of Ibadan farmers found a wandering elephant on their farmland.
The elephant said to be coming from the Benin Republic was spotted at Saki in Oyo State by some farmers.
He also shared the photos of the elephant being handled and led by humans, adding that the animal came some miles within his farm in Saki.
The photos stirred reactions on social media, as many urged that the elephant be kept alive and not be eaten.
