Five Cars, BRT Bus Collide in Lagos Multiple Crash

A multiple-vehicle accident involving five cars and a BRT bus occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Sunday, resulting in significant traffic congestion.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) shared a video on its social media handle, showing the aftermath of the collision and the damage to the vehicles involved.
According to LASTMA, the accident occurred at NNPC, inwards Estate Alapere on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The statement also mentioned that traffic congestion has extended to Ogudu as a result of the crash.

While the cause of the accident and any casualties remain undisclosed, LASTMA assured that their officers are on the scene to manage traffic and efforts are underway to clear the area.
The statement from LASTMA read, “A multiple auto crash involving six vehicles including a BRT bus has occurred at NNPC, inwards Estate Alapere on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The resultant backlog of traffic is now at Ogudu. However, our officers are present there working to ease movement for other motorists, and earnest effort has commenced to clear the scene.”
