Five Years after; takeup abandoned Ughoton Express -Sapele Road project among your legacy projects, Ughoton community begs Okowa

TRACKING____As Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state celebrates five years anniversary into his administration, Ughoton community in Okpe Local Government Area has appealed to the Delta State Governor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to complete the abandoned Ughoton Express road linking to Sspele Road in order to open up the area and decongest traffic in the ever busy up rising commercial town.

The call was made by the Unu-Amua (Spokesman) of Ughoton , Mr. David Orume recently in the community, while appreciating God for the governor and the state government, urged Dr. Okowa to take it upon his administration in making sure he complete the Ughoton Express road project which he inherited by immediate past administration of the state , noting that as government is continuous the need to complete the road project becomes necessary as it will be among legacy projects of the Okowa led administration in the state.

Unu-Amua of Ughoton disclosed that the present government have not tarred any road in Ughoton for the past five years despite their peaceful nature and support to the governor’s administration in making sure there is sustainability to business growth and development being attracted to the area, he appealed to the Governor Dr. Okowa who is also known as “the road Master” to look at Ughoton and remember them for road projects across the town which is open and has good land for citing of industries and residential buildings.

He hinted that if the road project is completed it will eradicate completely the traffic gridlock associated to Effurun Roundabout as well as the holdup at Shaguolor Warri Refinery axis, Mr. Orume urged the state government to pay attention to the cosmopolitan town.

According to the Ughoton Spokesman there’s only one road project at Baptist street in Ughoton that is ongoing in the whole of the town for the past five years despite having their own Chief James Augoye as works commissioner in the state , though he commended him and want more projects such as improvement in electric supply, portable water among others to be attracted to the city.
