FLASHBACK: Fani-Kayode explains why Tinubu cannot win the 2023 presidential election.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Former Aviation Minister and human rights lawyer Femi Fani-Kayode declared on June 25, 2020, that the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is unfit to win the 2023 election.
In an open letter to Jagaban, FFK stated that the former Lagos Governor would not succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 because he has been “used.”
In the open letter, Fani-Kayode, a current ruling party chieftain, warned Tinubu against imposing himself on Nigerians, emphasizing that the presidency can only be bestowed by God.
“You wanted to be Vice President in 2015, and you failed,” he said. You want to be President in 2023, but you will fail. What you failed to recognize in all your plans is that God alone rules in men’s affairs.”
Fani-Kayode stated that Tinubu “refused to acknowledge or accept the fact that the Presidency of Nigeria can only be given by God and He gives it to whom He deems fit by prophecy and divine decree,” as a reason why the Asiwaju of Lagos would not be Nigeria’s president in 2023.
However, according to Track News, Fani-Kayode, a vocal critic of the APC and the Buhari administration, left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and joined the APC on September 16, 2021.
Before the APC presidential election on June 8, 2022, Fani-Kayode projected Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello as the best candidate to win the 2023 election.
The APC chieftain, who had accused the ruling party of plotting to islamize the country prior to the primary election that produced Tinubu as the APC candidate, stated in an interview on August 18, 2022 that he was only against the APC because he was in the opposition PDP.
Following Tinubu’s election as the party’s candidate, Fani-Kayode defended the APC’s selection of Kashim Shettima as its vice presidential candidate, despite widespread opposition to a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
He claimed that the former Borno State Governor had built more churches in the state than any previous governor.
Fani-most Kayode’s recent articles are directed at the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, revealing why they cannot win the election.
