Former Chief of Army Staff, Bello Dambazau to be Installed as Jagunmolu of Ede

As part of the activities lined up to commemorate the 15th Coronation Anniversary of Oba (Dr) Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Agbale Laminisa 1, the Timi of Ede land, Osun state, the Monarch will confer on Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, former Chief of Army Staff and former Minister of Interior, the esteemed title of Jagunmolu of Ede land.

In a statement by the Chairman Planning Committee, Prof. Tajudeen Akanji said the event will hold on Wednesday June 7, 2023 in Ede, Osun state.

Akanji said the choice of Lt. Dambazau for the prestigious title stemmed from the fact that he has distinguished himself as a personality with a remarkable track record of service and leadership.

He has been chosen for this prestigious role due to his significant contributions to the nation and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

As the Barade of Kano, Dambazau has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to public service, and his appointment as the Jagunmolu of Ede land further attests to his esteemed reputation and influence in the community.

Other highlights of the anniversary include conferring chieftancy titles on some notable figures of Ede and others by the monarch.

There will also be Special Jumat and Sunday Service as well as Royal night.

The grand finale of the event is the Coronation Anniversary on Saturday June 10, at Ede High school where Gov.Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke of Osun State will be the Chief Host and Special Guest of Honour of the Day.

The installation and Coronation ceremonies according to Akanji, promises to be a grand event filled with traditional pomp and celebration, befitting the occasion .
