Frame Of Resignations Hit Rivers state Executive Council; 5 commissioners, chief of staff Abandoned Fubara

A rain of resignations has hitted the Rivers State’s Executive Council as five Commissioners, and the Chief of Staff to the governor have resigned in the last few days.
The notable departures include Commissioners Inime Aguma (Social Welfare), Dr. Kelly George (Works), Isaac Kamalu (Finance), Prof. Zaccheaus Adangor (Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice), and Prof. Prince Mmom (Education).
TrackNews Media gathered that each official tendered their resignation through formal letters addressed to Governor Sim Fubara, citing personal reasons for their decision to resign.
In his resignation letter, Prof. Prince Mmom, the most recent to resign as the Commissioner for Education, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve within the administration.
He conveyed his appreciation while extending well wishes for the governance of Rivers State moving forward.
The departure of Chukwuemeka Woke, the Governor’s Chief of Staff, adds weight to the significant shake-up within the state’s governance structure.
The perceived friction between Governor Sim Fubara and former governor Nyesom Wike, who presently serves as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, is said to be the reason why the commissioners are resigning.
Fubara and Wike have been having a running political battle in the last few weeks.
